Yes, of course I'm using a keyboard controller.
My main problem is the lack of happy accidents.
With soft synths you have to think about everything you want to achieve, and programme it (usually using a mouse).
With hardware I just twiddle every knob and push every slider until it starts to sound good.
I find I get more interesting sounds, more quickly.
Each to their own. A couple of my friends make fantastic sounding productions using software almost exclusively. But after a year of trying, I think softsynths just don't suit my preferred way of working.

Yes, I've made software work for me. I just decided that I preferred hardware in many situations (very personal decision).
I was at pains to point out the guys I know who are making killer tracks with the softsynths I don't enjoy using.
I have helped in creating music software tools.

I understand how to work with them, I just prefer the results when I work with hardware or real people.
It's a debate, and as such different opinions on the subject are presumably ok.
