WTB Pro Tools M-Powered 8 (or 7.4)

Postby DrAlienSmith » Mon Sep 24, 2012 3:22 pm

Im not usually a protools user but i need a version of it for a sub leasing job when im on holidays. I need a version that is compatible with win XP and my M-audio Profire 2626. That means i can only use M-powered 8 or 7.4.

Anyone have a license they want to sell me?

Hi Al,

I have both of those versions but when I tried to sell it a year ago the licence transfer fee was more than the value of PT...... (something like $150 I think). If you can check out the t/fer cost I'd be happy to sell you my copy for a bargain price ;-).

I'm pretty sure PT9 will run on XP (emulation mode) and a 2626 - it's still just a 32bit app.

Hi Al,

If you right click on the installer and open the properties box you will find a checkbox and dropdown to let you select the emulation you want i.e. run as XP, run as W2000 etc

B-)

It probably isn't any use to you... but I have an ilok with a protools HD7 license on it that I ain't ever going to use.

Free to a good home... it is stuck on the ilok though (came with my core card... it is registered to another ilok account). It can't be transferred.
