Bands wanted for festival line up

Postby Ben M » Fri Oct 26, 2012 2:04 pm

If there are any bands on here that would be interested in playing at a 3 day music festival on the Anzac long weekend (2013) next year please get in touch through PM. The venue is a 100 acre farm not too far from Sydney.
Info needed: Band name, link, name and contact number.
cheers

Get in touch with a band called Sticky Fingers. I saw them a few weeks ago here on the Peninsula. They are from Sydney and would be great for a festival gig.

Perfect spot for a music festival Ben, hope it gets up and running without any council hassles. I did some work with a great young Sydney band, Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun:

I'll send you some mobile contacts shortly. Great swamp-rock thrashabilly stuff, supported Gary Clark Jr on his recent Oz tour.....

Cheers

You know I have a new nickname for the shoalhaven council. Just take the "S" and put it after the 'L". :)
Hope to see you down here for it Steve.

Amanda Palmer could come to the gig and crash everyone's stage?
then...pass the hat for the bands fee's...
class headline act?
just a suggestion...

Geez I didn't know it was yours Ian. I thought I was being original. :) But I'll send my .004 cents asap.

Chris, Ms Palmer would only be welcome if she brought her 5 daughters...if you know what I mean.

In other news this festival will only be for Aus and NZ acts, hence the Anzac weekend.

Sounds like the festival may snowball - good idea - good concept and timing (AU+NZ+Anzac weekend)
I hope it goes off and becomes something the council cannot say no to co-funding in the future - its happened in many many other places.
Once they see the $ going back into the community.....
Best of luck
