Hi folks
I've got some lines running horizontally across the display on my Sony V77. I've replaced the battery but that didn't change anything. I can still see some of the stuff on screen but its difficult to use like this.
Has anyone had this issue with a V77 or other Sony efx processor?
Has anyone needed to replace a screen in one of these units?
Any thoughts to fixing or replacing would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Sony V77 display problem
Hey Ben,
I repaired a couple of the later guitar Sony processors (1/2 rack cut-down v77's) and I was getting all sorts of screen garble until I hard reset the memory. If you've just changed the battery that might be the go?

Re: Sony V77 display problem
Thanks Dave. Just did the reset by holding ENTER and SAVE while turning the power on. Things have improved, instead of dark lines they've changed to clear lines which makes it easier to read. That's a plus
Would still like to get the display to be 100%.
Not sure who would supply old Sony DPS displays. If anyone...

Re: Sony V77 display problem
FWIW another thing I noticed is that it took a little while / couple of tries for the eprom to right itself properly. Sounds like you've actually got a damaged screen but might be worth waiting a week if you can use it as is?
