SSL Duality For JMC Academy

Postby waitup » Wed Jan 23, 2013 3:08 pm

Hi guys

I don't know how many of you know of my day job, but I'm the Facilities Supervisor at JMC Academy (an audio education institute with campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. What that means is I basically manage the studios and facilities, organise purchasing, oversee installations etc.

Over the last while we've moved our Sydney campus from Surry Hills to Ultimo. As part of this change I've been in charge of commissioning four new recording studios, the main one of which is home to a brand new 48-channel SSL Duality SE.

It's been a massive job, but with the help of my team we've installed the four studios in just a couple of months. Every cable was made to length using Canare cable and loom and Neutrik connectors. Every single DB25 etc was hand soldered by myself and my team. Lots of work, but the result is a fantastically clean studio build and everything is working flawlessly and should do for years to come.

If anyone would like to come have a look at it some time just shoot me an email or something and we'll organize it!

Cheers!
