WTB: Isobox or similar

In my new temporary space I will have need to have my computer and Magma in the same room as mixing and tracking.

Anyone have an isobox or equivalent lying around to put them in and keep the noise down??

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

It sure looks handy, but ain't cheap! If you have racks full of gear with fans in it, there probably isn't any other sure-fire way of reducing noise. If it is only one or two select items, there are probably ways to get the ambient noise right down for much cheaper than the iso rack.

Maglev computer fans, Fanless graphics cards, water cooled CPU heatsink, silent PSU & SSD drives are probably a few of those methods and can probably be sorted for a few hundred bucks.

Yeh, they look good but wow, expensive.
I don't think Awave sell them anymore. Just waiting on Lewis to return my call.

There are few second hand ones in USA but I recon shipping will be more than the unit.

The search continues. Surely theres a local solution.

I have a bigger super pro iso cabinet twice the size of that one that I gave to chris v a year ago , but its still in my shed
looking lonely after 12 months of unlove

if its really is a temp fix .. maybe he will recant? .. and you can come and "borrow it '

and either way i will never see it again?

Thanks Rick. If Chris does recant, please let me know and I'll gladly grab it. When you say twice the size, do you mean height, width or both?? My temporary space is basically a double bedroom. So too big may be a problem.

Also, I'm not sure how long temporary is. The new house settles next Tues, then we move, unpack and do the usual stuff. I then need to design and submit plans to council for the granny flat/studio and who knows how long any of that will be??

I can pick the rack up anytime if Chris doesn't need it. It will be loved once again.

I feel your pain!

My computers are in a hallway cupboard, with the leads squashed unceremoniously under doors.
There are no fan and hard drive noises to deal with anymore, only the birds, cats and dogs, lawnmowers, local school kids and the H3000 power supply remain.

Yep, I bored a hole through my wall to put them in the next room in my current house. Unfortunately, now that I'm moving, I have to patch it up and paint. Damn computers.

Maybe we should instigate a DIY project on TR and design and build a small iso box just for bedroom studios. Surely there is a market for that?? Flat pack kit aka Ikea.

These things are horrendously expensive to ship down under.
