I have this Soundcorp PF96 rackmount patchbay for sale:

- 96 points on the front all TT
- 8 x Centronics (F) on the rear
<edited>
I purchased it from another t/rocker - he said it's new - and It looks brand new but I've never used it (don't have any TT patchleads....).

Sold

That suggests there are twelve points on each Centronics connector, but DB25s accommodate eight. Does that mean there are 12 DB25s with every second one wired into 4 points of each of two connectors?

There are 8 centronics 36 sockets on the rear - each centronics accomodates 12 TT patch points. Centronics provides 36 connections on the pinout - 3 per point being Ground, Pair cold and Pair hot.

You are right that the DB25 provides 8 (normally) - I don't know how the "12" maps to "8" on the adaptors ..... unfortunately I don't have any TT patch leads....

Here are a front and rear shot of a similar PF96 - the one in the photo is using centronic ribbon cables going back to a frame (ribbon cables not included in sale btw):

do you know how the pin outs work on the DB25's. the unit has 96 patch points, but 8x DB25's (8 x balanced lines) only totals 64 (32 missing...)

or is it wired some other way?

does anyone know?

All I got were some cryptic statements:

- Turn a standard parallel printer cable into a Cent. 36 Male to Male cable
- Turn a centronics port into a DB25 Female Port
- Connect to a Centronics Switch box and then use DB25 Cables with it

This is what they look like:
