WTB: Roland Vocoder SVC-350

The title says it all really, I bet there are more than a few of these owned by TR members..

anyone got one they aren't using so much that they might feel like selling?

Not to derail this thread...

But as a fan of vocoders for some time.. I rate the MAM VF11

I own a MAM VF11 , EH Rack Vocoder and built a Paia Vocoder .. (also DP4 which does an ok vocoder + Electro Harmonix V256 pedal)

I've also owned (briefly) a SVC-350 and while it's pretty cool, bang for buck I think the MAM wins.

The MAM nails the oh so hard German sounding brutal vocoder, and with little effort does the ELO / Air style as well.
The sibilance detector is cool and it also has a few other tricks it can do.

The SVC is great, but it's range is much more limited IMHO.

Hey Guys,

Yeah I was thinking the MAM would be good - I actually bought one from a forum member a while back, but it has never really worked right - breaks into oscillation and is basically unusable
I don't know how it could be fixed or if it would be worth it.

I saw that ebay Roland - it is untested (deceased estate...) would prefer to buy a 'fully' working one.. in case I end up with 2 broken vocoders...

Anyway who knows, the TR forum (almost) always comes up with the goods...
