Mini mics?

Any recommendations for mini mics? Doing a project using body sounds (clicks, taps, gurgles, whatever!) as the instruments, and I reckon some small mics would be handy to close mic knuckles, knee caps, backs of ears, that sort of thing

Little blondies? Shotgun shell mics? Old Sony ECM lav mics?

I'm all ears!

Ooo hadn't thought of that - I knew I pinched the box of props out of a Uni skip bin for something!

What's the consensus on the little shotgun mics? I reckon the circuitry behind them would be pretty basic, I might look at building a few into flexible cables or similar.

Checked out the Karma Mics Silver Bullet or the Naiant X series?

I have some of the earlier Silver Bullets and they sound good on some things (Acoustic instuments) as long as the source isn't too loud (Drums). The later versions apparently handle higher SPL.

Little blondies are very good for the $s but I believe they are all omni - the metal ones are small (XLR connector size) - the little woodies look nicer but they're a bit bigger...

Rode NT6's sound like a good option with their demountable capsule. Not too heavy on the bank either!

How long is the project running? If size is an issue those tiny DPA 4060/61 omnis are awesome - and not too expensive to hire for a few days..you could fit them down the stethescope ear tubes too..
You could also try some piezo transducers with some sports tape and tape them to where ever is most hairy....and then use what ever in the room to record the scream when you rip them off...
