Hi all, I have a Grace model 101 mic pre for sale, this is the original silver face version with external power adaptor. Perfect condition, highly regarded super clean and uncoloured preamp in a 1/2 rack space. $390.00

That is the the later model M101.

The gain on the Model 101 is 60dB.

Hence the question as I knew it might be the older model.

That is the the later model M101.

The gain on the Model 101 is 60dB.

Now that's worth knowing about and the model names could be confusing .......... as for the smilies...just as confusing i suppose

Just to confuse things even more, the original Model 101 also came in a high gain version.

So to summarise:
Model 101 = 60dB
Model 101 (high gain version) = 70dB
Model M101 = 75dB

I have the original Model 101 and can vouch for it as a very transparent preamp.
Very good for voice overs and dialogue.
