Cancelled Sonnet USB3 ExpressCard 34mm

Hi all,

No longer f/s - found a workaround

I have for sale this Sonnet brand USB3 ExpressCard 34mm - it is compatible with Mac OSX 10.6+ and W7 / Vista / XP.

This unit provides up to 300mv power which is fine for mose USB things, but not sufficient to power an external USB drive. It has 2 x USB3 ports.

fyi it arrived this morning (brand new) - I opened the package and tested it but it won't power my EastWest samples HD, so I have to buy an Oyen card that provides 5v.

If anyone needs a card just to transfer data at USB3 speed this will serve.

Slightly OT - is that the new East West version 2 with the Hollywood Brass and Strings you are talking about?

Very On topic methinks ;-) - it is EW2, but I didn't get the Hollywood packs as they are only 16bit in EW2....

- I chose Goliath, Ra, Silk, Symphonic Orchestra, Pianos, Solo Violin and Dark Side (as they suit my bent) - thought that I would go for EW2 Pro (24bit) with Brass, Strings, Woodwind after the Percussion set is completed next year.

fyi it works fairly well on USB2, but it's a bit slow to load and can be clicky on the big samples like orchestra
