Hi, I am selling my JLM Ba4, 4 channel microphone pre amp. It has JLM input transformers and JLM 99v op amps. No output transformers. 2 x FET D.I. inputs.
I am hoping to get somewhere close to $1k for it. It cost about $1300 for the kit. Then I had to build it. I have had it for about 5 years.
It works great and sound lovely, I wouldn't sell it if I didn't have too many preamps for my needs now.
It has been checked over by a real tech, and given a clean bill of health.
It is the top unit in the attached photo. Nothing else in the photo is included!
It comes with a higher current powersupply than the basic one, again from JLM.

These are fantastic pres. I use them mainly for drums but they sound great on anything, punchy with a little more clarity than a Neve, but in the same area. I have 4 of the same configuration. I have lusted after 4 more to have 8 channels in 2RU for mobile stuff. I would love to buy them although I'm not supposed to spend cash at the moment.
Paul do these have the variable impedance?

Hi, no they don't have variable impedance. I have a pair of the pot's that do that but they aren't installed.
I will try to add a better photo on the weekend.
They have been great for me, they always sound well balanced, and the noise floor is incredibly low, meaning you can use all the gain available. Really bullet and idiot proof when tracking.
