WTB headphone amp

Postby Chinagraf » Mon Nov 11, 2013 11:02 pm

Need something cheap and cheerful to use for a portable tracking date. Would contemplate a be!@#$%^& 4700 or maybe even an 8000. Anyone got something in a cupboard?
Alternatively, anyone used the Presonus hp60?
Thanks

For another alternative I can only say good things about my Aphex Headpod 4 - if 4 ports would suffice - very clean, lots of gain, analog and digital ins - they'll cost you a couple of hundred though.

Cheers Ian, I'd like to have at least 6 feeds just in case someone from the band's girlfriend shows up to sing backing vocals :P

hmmm, I'm a bit suss on the quality control of SM Pro. I have one of their monitor switchers and the buttons can be a bit iffy, but I'll check it out, thanks for mentioning it Myles. How you settling back in?

I know budget gear and all but the amp is no fuss no bells and whistles and essentially what I would build for myself. In fact if I can ever be bothered to make a higher quality one it would probably have the same form factor.

Not settling in yet, I'm in Spain and slowly wandering home. Get back in January.
