I have been searching for a pair of solid large mic stands for overhead duties and have come up with this option.
latchlake.

Does anyone here have one and can comment on them or another option?
Is there an Australian manufacturer that makes a similar product?

Hi Lee
I have some Atlas and Ultimate Support large studio booms.
If your looking for a very reasonably priced option the Ultimate Support MC-125 booms are available in OZ for around $200 each.

The Latch Lake Stands are excellent. Very well manufactured. Expensive but quality.

I have a K&M large tripod stand and paired it with an Atlas weighted boom arm. I don't know why I put these two together but I must have got some sort of good price on each of them. The tripod is really sturdy and goes up like 3m from memory. Folds up nicely

Hi, I just got some Tamas. Very well made, I feel that they will last and not fall over.
