hi all
any idea why PT would stop responding to left/ right scrolling with the ball on a mac mighty mouse?
to note:
1 - still scrolls up and down
2 - mouse is known good (tested on other machine, also tested with a brand new mouse)
3 - its not a computer setting, cause sideways scrolling works in other programs on the same computer, just NOT in pro tools.
there must be some little preference buried somewhere that i can't find.
any thoughts?

It scrolls horizontally on a normal mouse when you use the scroll wheel.

Re: mac mouse scrolling issues in PT
Just tried this with a Mighty Mouse. Shift scroll up/down does not scroll sideways. This leads me to suggest that this is probably dependent on the OS being able to detect the features of the mouse. The OS may be telling Pro Tools that horizontal scrolling is available so there's no need to shift-scroll.
This doesn't help Gareth, but if communication between the OS and Pro Tools isn't fully working...

EVEN STRANGER!
shift and scroll up/ down DOES scroll sideways
so its like PT (and PT only) is not seeing a mighty mouse, but a standard mouse.
how can the computer (finder window etc) know there is a mighty mouse attached
but the PT software doesn't recognise it (when a couple of weeks ago it did)
