for sale is our original studio A computer⦠then became a spare machine⦠and has now been outgrown as I've replaced all the machines with 4.1 builds
3.1 build - sometimes called early 2008. its been at GPHQ since not long after that. i could probably even wrangle up my original receipt if you really wanted
it has 2 x 2.8 quad core (so its an 8 core machine)
selling with 18g RAM
a single 640GB hard drive (but as you know you can put 3 more drives in it.)
dual optical drives (but you can remove the lower and put an SSD in if you like - this machine was back when we backed up to DVDs!)
24" mac cinema HD display
mac keyboard and mouse
it ran PTHD 1, and then 2, very well for years
upgraded and improved along the way
its a solid machine thats been well looked after.
clean 10.7 lion instal (or i can leave it with PTHD10 installed if you want - obviously you will need ilock)
$1400 firm. can supply with tax invoice if required.

Re: FS: mac pro 3.1 build
i should add that i have a "spares machine" which has s dead logic board.
but does have full shell (and hence backplane) power supply, video card etc
ill through that in if a T-Rocker buys it..
if it goes to ebay that will be a separate listing

hi dave
there was certainly no thunderbolt back in early 2008!
so unfortunately no
ram is 800mHz
not what is in the newer 4.1 and 5.1 builds (which is 1060 i believe)
