WTB 88 x F XLR ends

Postby Vic » Mon May 19, 2014 6:30 pm

HI, Before I drag out my Wes Components catalogue, I just thought I would check to see if anyone had a spare 88 or so FEMALE XLR Ends so I can finish soldering up my studio :-)

Thanks

Vic

Thanks,

A well priced box of 100 sounds good, do you know how much they go for?

I'd be interested to see how the price on 100 Neutrik NC3MXX from Amber compares to my current source.

In the past I have found mouser.com to be the cheapest. The key is to switch the cart from australian dollars to US dollars using the drop down tab in the top right corner of the website. Instead of free shipping you pay a flat $30, but the prices of items drops so dramatically that it works out a lot better anyway.

100x NC3MXX from mouser is $300 AUD.

$250 US for the connectors, plus $30 US shipping.

Great, with a little research together we can find the best price in this, or any other, land.

I jsut checkec on Mouser.com and you right, if I sleect US dollars it translates to $315 after conversion to Aus dollars at todays rates, but If is select Aus$ it costs $355. both including postage to your door. So that is a $40 saving just from selecting different currency.

I will also be in Singapore in a week, I wonder if there are XLR end savings to be had there?

I just checked, last time from Markertek I paid US$211 for a box of 100 male neutrik connectors.

Shipping extra of course, if you buy enough stuff it makes it worthwhile.

I buy locally over the counter from RS components. Although their online stock prices are kind of boring, the price I get on Neutrik speaks volumes for what showing your face and speaking to humans can do.
The guys down here are very cheerful and give me a very competitive price; on par with the mouser prices and I don't have to deal with fluctuating exchange rates, exchange fees or freight. I usually order in quite sizable quantities and they're generally very quick, order one day, collect the next.
I guess since they are a global company they are able to sell at a rate well below what the local wholesaler sets as a minimum price..
