RIP Peter Dawkins

Postby Chinagraf » Tue Jul 08, 2014 10:57 pm

I only just found out about Peter's passing, apparently as a result of injuries from fall on his stairs at home last week.
Some of my all time favourite Aussie tracks were produced by him. He pulled some amazing sounding records together, classics. I heard him talk once about the moment he realized he would never be able to work on music again after being diagnosed with Parkinson's at only 42. Freaked me out thinking about being put in that position without a choice.
A true legend.
Cheers....

Yep, it was sad to hear about Peter..he worked on some legendary albums and projects .
I had the pleasure of working with him on my first major album at Emi with Richard Lush and Guy Gray engineering.

Cheers
