Sounds like you send them a valuable mic, they take the guts and capsule out and put it in in their wooden tube/lace doiley thing. I wonder how that headbasket would look after a year of use, not to mention if it fell over.
I not the biggest fan of wooden mics. I think some things look better in metal, like cars and microphones.
