Want to borrow - scsi to CD or DVD rom drive

Hi folks

A mate of mine in Sydney is looking to transfer some sounds onto an old Yamaha A4000 sampler.

He's looking to borrow a scsi to CD or DVD Rom drive.
Please let me know if you can help.
Here is an example of what he needs.

i have SCSI DVD RAM drives...
but not sure if that will help? (dvd ram was the disc in a case thing...)

Wouldn't he be looking for a SCSI CD ROM drive in an external SCSI case if he is hooking it up to a sampler?
