Urei la3a who has one?

There is a Urei la3a on ebay at the moment with a serial number 709. Out of all you guys out there with one, what year or era does this make it?
And is it just a la2a without tubes? Just fantasising whether this is a poor mans la2.
Those who have one or have used one can you spill some beans for us uneducated people.

I don't own one but I've used them, great on gtrs and good on vox and bass, not a LA2A though.

I have a pair somewhere around that number. They are not a poor mans La2a, they are bitier in the low mids, imo the best guitar compressor ever, also great on bass or a rock type vocal. Don't know the year though. Also have gobs of gain have used mine with my 421's on toms as a mic pre. Don't know what they are going for but can't go wrong with one as far as a studio weapon.

i used to own one... dont anymore.
great on guitars, some basses, and certain drums.
good comp, does a specific thing, definitely not an LA2A
