FS: axis 90 Dual Ribbon microphone

Hi Folks
I picked up another Coles 4038 yesterday so I'm selling this gem to even out the mic cabinet.
Carillon axis 90 Dual Ribbon microphone (no badge on the mic).
Includes hard case and shock mount. Excellent condition. (aka - Legacy axis 90 ribbon)

Anyone ever tried one of these on violin? Thoughts?

I rarely record at home, since I have access to good studios, but every now and then I need to lay down something quickly on my fiddle. So I'm kind of tempted...

yes, they are a good option for violin. These are bit more full sounding than the royer type carillion.
