State of the Nation - Another large retailer gone.

Hey Guys,

I haven't seen this being discussed online as yet so thought I'd give everyone a quick heads up that another large local Pro Audio retailer has shut shop after decades of operation, that being Musiclab in Brisbane.

No indication on the website which looks like its business as usual, so tread very carefully if thinking of ordering anything from there.

Things are definitely tough out there , but this one caught me by surprise.

Definitely gone, I have had it confirmed by a few wholesalers I have spoken to this week.

Musiclab, at least back in the day, was run by great people. They knew the products inside out, and some of them could even repair the damn things!
I always bought with confidence from them.
Even then, they could be a bit more expensive, but who cares? If something f##d up, they would sort it, period.
Where does all that technical expertise go?

Damn. I remember talking to a guy on the phone a few years back when I was interested in buying a V-Synth, not only was he super friendly but we had a good old discussion about what we loved about the synth.

Too bad you don't get that much these days, some stores you ask about a certain synth and they look at you like you're a weirdo :-?
