WTB pure alcohol in Melbs

Hello Brainstrust,

Does anyone know where i might be able to get my hands on some pure alcohol in Melb preferably northside. I've tried a bunch of Chemists already to no avail but if someone knows a large Pharmacy somewhere that still has some stock for cleaning tape machine heads etc that would be grouse.

Alltronics or Jaycar sell 99.99% isopropyl alcohol.

You might already know this, but just in case: keep the alcohol away from your pinch rollers (rubber) as some rubber can react and melt. i believe they rubber pinch rollers should only be cleaned with warm soapy water (don't quote me on this).

One of the more knowledgeable members of the forum should be able to advise for certain.

There's a jaycar just round the corner, awesome. Yes i think that's right in regard to the pinch rollers and rubber bits, it depends on the kind of rubber used.

Instead of asking for pure alcohol at the chemist, ask for Isopropyl alcohol. I can still get it here whenever i ask, and i state that I want it for head cleaning the tape machine.
