Last year whilst planning my residency with the National Museum, I proposed that I should have a public outcome right at the beginning, to start in a productive way while I settled into longer works later in the year.
I proposed that I create a performance on the PS Enterprise, one of the worlds oldest paddle steamers. I suggested I would put contact microphones on it and play a mesmerising soundscape created entirely on the vessel. I would accompany that with video projections mapped to the very surface of the paddle steamer itself.
I suggested it could be a part of another event. They agreed and so now my next gig will be supporting Katie Noonan, on the foreshore of Lake Burley Griffin, playing a soundtrack entirely on a paddle steamer at sunset on February 28th.
