autumn cleaning sale

Postby mylesgm » Wed Mar 11, 2015 9:11 am

Yesterday morning some bastard stole my motorbike and that is spurring me on to sell some stuff and try to get a replacement... I'm keen to move this stuff so go ahead and make me an offer or trade me a bike.

UREI la12 stereo comp with the excellent peak/average detector for altering the response of the compressor. very underrated units and can be used on vocals, through to the mix buss. $750 (sold pending payment)

SPL MTC monitor controller. These are great! neutral sounding, lots of options and a good sounding headphone amp. With talkback, cue mix etc etc. perfect for a project studio or a non-desk studio. I replaced the knob (not the pot) with a lovely old bakelite unit and will change it back if you don't want that but I think it looks and feels much better this way and for something you use all the time that matters. $750 (sold)

a pair of ADM 1540 eqs, vintage units with 4 bands of stepped inductor eq. 3 points top and bottom, 4 points on the mids. I'll even throw in output transformers to balance the units. $200 each! (sold)

Pairs 3 band eqs custom designed and built by Deane Jensen of Jensen Transformers for a 70's band called Up With People. I bought them from Indigo Ranch (!) where they had a console full of these on Protools returns. I've a few pairs left over after parting out the console and racking a lot of the modules. I want the remaining ones out to a good home so $100 per pair!(2 pairs sold but more available)

a full set of built 1176-2 parts rev D with everything other than the mains transformer. MNATs pcbs, altran transformers, VUs, pots etc. You need a case and hardware. Was planning on building a top notch stereo unit with the best matched components but it's been on the shelf for too long and doesn't fit my portable kit now... 750

4x AAD speakers (passive) and 1x AAD sub (active) has grill cloth but removed to show driver. Basic but decent hifi system used for 4ch surround installation. Sounded pretty good, has sat in boxes for a few years after doing a number of shows. $200 for everything! (sold)

1x NOS NS10 woofer. Still in full factory plastic wrapping/box. $90 (sold)

Hi Myles,

Some great stuff here. I'm keen on buying NS10 NOS woofer.

Also keen on the 1176-2 kits. Just to doublecheck, the hardware needed is just the xlr and iec connectors, correct? Has all components stuffed and matched FETs? attack switch pots? ratio switch row?

Call if easier.

Cheers,

Lachie.

Hi Lachlan,

Most things have sold and I've now updated the list. The 1176-2 is fully complete minus the power transformer and case hardware (xlrs, knobs, etc). It is a rotating switch for the ratio and it also has the tabs to add a threshold control if you wish. Matched FETs across all positions and both boards, highest quality matched parts, etc. This was going to be a super mastering grade take on the 1176.
