Hi Gary,

The Elcom is an interesting pre. It was made for me by Analog Addicts in the U.K. using vintage (circa 1963 Elcom germanium) components in a new chassis.

fwiw it also has mic/line switch and attenuator so can be used as a line amp, -48v phantom power, VUs, 30/200 switch, XLR I/O.

The sound is, well...... VERY germanium..... I like it on vocals and kit played with brushes.

I'd prefer to sell the whole rack..... I estimated the 2 x pres and 2 x 'verbs worth 1K each (4K) and the FX etc thrown in for $500.....

I've had a few enquiries about splitting things further - you'll understand that I'm selling the lot so I need to sell certain items first to avoid being left with some gear I can't use...... so - they are for sale in this order:

1/ AA Elcom Germanium 2-channel pre for $1000 - 24/12 sold payment pending

2/ AA Ferrograph Valve line amp / reverb units - pair of these for $1500 - 24/12 sold payment pending

3/ AA Ferrograph Valve pre with 2 mic channels + 2 line channels -> mic/line mixing for $1500

Hi all,

I have dropped the price of this pair of vintage valve line amp / reverb units to $1K. This is for the pair.

They sound fantastic - reworked ferrograph valve reel to reel tape recorders so you have input and output gain.... and with accutronix reverb tanks installed - with variable level, in/out, wet/dry + a 3 band eq on the reverb. XLR and TRS I/O. This is not a sales pitch but it is a bargain.
