Hi Folks,
I'm on the hunt for a pair of Proac Studio 100s or something very similar. Must be passive obviously.
Do you have any or know anyone with a pair? Any input is welcome!
Cheers,
Alexander Jackson

They sure are! I found a guy on the Stereo Net Hifi forums who had a 15 year old pair with a number of knocks and bumps and he wanted $1000 for them. He was their third owner as well. Haha yeah nah.

Re: WTB: Proac Studio 100 pair or similar
Hey Alexander,
I bought a pair in 2010 and still use them to this day. They are amazingly neutral. It's funny how they've taken a while to catch on here, when I was living in L.A. every studio I went to was using the Studio 100's. If I remember correctly I bought them through RVM (the one and only Aus distributor at the time). I paid around $2000 for the pair.

Hope this helps.

Hey guys
Many audiophile stores in Melbourne and Sydney stock ProAc as a brand and have previously sold the 100 model so I'd investigate that way too.
I know for a fact that a high end hifi store on clarendon St in south Melbourne sells them as I demoed a pair there last year before I ended up buying mine from vintage king in LA.
Worth a try!
Cheers

Re: WTB: Proac Studio 100 pair or similar
Thanks for your input guys. Yeah it really surprises me that they haven't really made a maeke over here. The thing is that the Studio 100s are no longer being made and RVM (and everyone else including Clef Hifi) seems to be sold out of them. The secondhand market is the only way now unfortunately.
Oh how i wish I'd had the money but one year ago!
I'm probably going to go with some Amphion One18s at this rate.
