Beesneez Arabella tube microphone SOLD

This mic is a very early example of the Beesneez Arabella that was hand tuned and sent to me by Ben Sneesby for review. I liked it so much I bought the mic straight off (thus no serial number and the different colour of the barrel to the current Producer Series production model). Inside its an immaculate build with a gigantic and desirable NOS Telefunken tube and larger Cinemag NICO transformer as well as the more labour intensive dual-milled K47c capsule.

This particular mic has graced quite a few albums over the last few years including by artists such as C.W. Stoneking, Jess Ribiero, Tiny Ruins and Paul Kelly's recent Spring And Fall. It's smooth and full bodied but with plenty of air and that sweet bit of midrange rock 'n roll grunt that sets the better Beesneez mics apart from the pack. Great on vocals, guitars and drums (it was my mono overhead drum mic of choice for many years). A real all-rounder.

A couple of small things to note - the PSU is missing one rubber pad on the bottom and one pop rivet is loose on one of the clips of the flight case.

Charter Oak SA538B tube microphone $850 ONO

Beautiful Charter Oak multi-pattern tube condenser. Great sounding big diaphragm mic with beautiful top end - particularly sweet on vocals and guitars. There is a feint wear line around the middle of the body from the shock mount that you can just make out if you look hard. This is very subtle and can't be seen in normal use, the mic is in excellent working condition otherwise. Includes all accessories, flight case, measurement charts and original box.
