Re: FS: USB3 cards for mac pro tower
no one running a mac tower not on 10.10?
surely?
one of these cards will pay for itself on its first use... a 1hour copy becomes less than 30mins..

Gareth,
Nope, I was running a good few of bands/other artists through the studio when I was back in wollongong, but keeping all studio time to myself and my own project at the moment. It's only a home studio anyway, nothing that is making me money besides songwriting royalties (hopefully more, soon!).
Whenever I do external work - mainly mixing, some session guitar/vox - it's usually via dropbox.
THAT SAID. I may have to grab one of these from you for a backup solution - I don't like having all my backups in the same place (you know, in case the house burns down, etc...). Thinking of a cloud scenario but not sure about it either... hmmmmmmm

Re: FS: USB3 cards for mac pro tower
It's actually f*cking frustrating to be honest. Most sessions we're working on these days are 88.2 or 96 from the get go, thus voices are usually taken up before I can even get stuck into mixing.
Really gotta either:
a - find a chassis
b - start down mixing to 48k
c - go HDX
d - quit and go fishing for a living
i like option D
