WTB Raindirk console

We are looking for an analogue console to replace a PT HD system.

Raindirk or similar.

24-32 into 16 busses nothing too complicated.

Don't need 32 busses or sophisticated automation.

Looking for good sonics, reliability, serviceability over brand

Could even be a high quality live board, Midas, Cadac.

Not interested in Harrison, Neve or SSL or Studer.

cadac or randirk you couldnt go wrong - but are less often sold than other things..
midas would certainly do the job, and they are around a fair bit, but they are big consoles. if you are putting it where i think you are, then a fully blown midas will be too massive for that space. standard config is 40ch (on the XL and heritage series anyway) so probably more console than you need and taking up all that room.
you could get a 24 or 32ch version of the newer purple series stuff - but id say thats not in the league you are looking for comparing to randirk and cadac.

How about a Midas Heritage 1000? 32 frame currently loaded with 28 mono and 4 stereo with an additional 6 spare mono strips plus spare group modules and spare martix modules. Supplied with dual power supplies.

I bought a heap of spare modules from Music Group UK when they decided they were no longer supporting Heritage consoles. I also have all the service manuals for this console.

I know where there where a few Cadacs for sale a while back. I will look them up to see if they're still on the market and let you know.

I have only seen two raindirks big consoles in australia , the one at megaphone and a little 20 track one lost somewhere in the back of my mind could be more could have been imported but the raindirk agency never really took off here, there are plenty of DDA consoles kicking about worth nothing but were great boards in their day .

my rule of thumb with consoles is avoid anything that has "Sound" in the name unless there are free , even then .

I did a fair amount of tracking through that little one at Trackdown, I believe. It was my favourite console.

@gareth after all these years I reckon it's got something to do with what you put I front of the microphone.
Any of those desks would be great and size is important.

@ Rick the raindirk rack is a beauty. Thanks. Would love a simple desk to add to it.
DDA- I was offered a 2 yr old 88 ch surround console for free if I could take it out of the room cause they just installed a Harrison. Not sure where that went but way too big.

The old FJ series too big and we don't have 3 phase for the PSUs
