FS: Pair of AWA Big 1 FET Compressors

Hi guys.

Up for sale today I have this lovely pair of old AWA Big 1 FET compressors.

I'm sure you guys all know the score on these, great fat old Aussie made FET compressors, idea for bass and drums. I wish I had the time and money to get them fixed up but alas I have too much gear and my interests have changed.

These rarely come up for sale and I haven't seen a pair on offer before, I have seen them sell in the past for up to 2k each. Given these need some work I'm asking $3,000 cash for the pair (rack not included). Courier from my end (Tasmania) is no problem for interstate buyers.

Please no silly offers, if they don't sell I'll happily keep them.

Yeah sure, sorry I should have detailed.

Basically these are in "as found" condition, I haven't tried to power them up, they were quite dusty when I got them, that's not to say you can't get them going by simply rewiring the power plugs (I can do this if needed).

But if I were to get these up to spec for professional use I'd recommend sending them to Rob at Proharmonic, I'd say off the top of my head they would need, new IEC sockets (or the current Cannon power cables rewired), new audio looms wired in to the tagstrip for XLR In/Out, Power Supply recap and basic recalibration and testing. So not a big deal, but obviously I want to be up front about everything, sometimes I think I'm too honest when selling things! haha
