Methinks it's a scam. The item's location is listed as being in Australia, but in the body the seller says that the mics are in Europe. Also, the only feedback this person has is from being a buyer, and the last thing they bought was a pram?! And if you look at the account activity, there was only one transaction in 2007, one in 2006, and the other 5 in 2005. There are no mics!

there are rules on evil bay that say you cannot be a "private unseen bidder" if you ever want to sell anything, so unless there were 9 bidders who NEVER sell anything bidding on that auction , and no real live bidders me thinks this smells too much
i have no doubt the set of mics is real but in my world if it looks to good to be true ...it is .
on a different note , when we bought our last house a few years ago i looked in to selling my m-49b to raise some cash so i contacted one of my usual dealers in the states , he said unless i was giving it away NOT to sell the m49 because all of the real AND the fake ebay sales have madeit look like getting a vintage tube neumann is easy to do and can be done every week and people will just not pay the top price for a good mic because they think they are easy to get .
his advice was that he was going to withdraw his "collection of neumanns" and any mics he bought in the future from sale for a fewyears , a bit like those diamond traders do , in a few years the lack of real mics to buy would return the dollar value to the genuine classics.
this evilbay auction just shows how right he is
4 m49s for the price of one ?
doesnt everybody wish it were true

So, if none of the bidders were genuine, this guy's scam failed? Come how he appeared not to get any sucker bids?
