BEWARE! Paypal scam!

Postby heathen » Sun Oct 07, 2007 8:37 am

I received over the last few days into my junk folder 2 emails supposedly asking me to click a link and verify my account details with paypal as it had been flagged in a security check.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT CLICK ON THIS LINK AND FILL IN YOUR ACCOUNT NAME AND PASSWORD, as your account will then become somebody elses too.

This is a rotten phishing scam and it looked legit, but it aint, I was wary enough not to click the link, but I'm sure some people will be sucked in.

Here is the contents of the email for reference.

send it to spoof@paypal.com.

Paypal will always address you by your name (as given in your personal details) and not as "valued paypal member".

They already have your info and don't need it re-supplied.
