Does anyone where to get them locally at a reasonable price? I was quoted $87 by a distributor..insane!

The most annoying mic clip ever made. I have four of these bastaaardos. With a very large possibility of fall outy on the floory via the built in trigger on the clip.
So conveniently destructive. ;-/

...i have 3 senhiser mics in need of repair...they will have to wait...too bloody expensive.....might as well buy a working one on eBay :(

I was quoted $113 each from Syntec a couple of years ago - needless to say mine are still gaffa taped together!!

A fairly quick fix to get you through is a Wireless Mic Clip or Butterfly Mic Clip which is larger and will accommodate the body of the 421 - with a little bit of electrical tape to hold it in place especially for drums etc. I've got an old MD419 which never came with a clip which this method works well for too.

I've used Sennheiser MD421 II Microphone for recording and live sound on acoustic guitars and vocals. It's really a nice setup at economic price.

I've found the best fix is the rode shock mount clips. hold the mic body really well. and cheap
