Sennheiser MD421 mic clips

Does anyone where to get them locally at a reasonable price? I was quoted $87 by a distributor..insane!

I also need two! Ive just held off and am waiting for some to pop up on ebay but no luck as of yet. Ive got two that ive had to tape to the stand, not very pretty but I guess it works.

Ah thats no good, as one of my 421 also needs a new xlr connector/socket which fits into the base. Its hard wired to a lead at the moment. Really ghetto, im glad not many people see them.

The most annoying mic clip ever made. I have four of these bastaaardos. With a very large possibility of fall outy on the floory via the built in trigger on the clip.

Well its working for me so far, im just dreading the day the lead is yanked too hard and those brittle little wires are yanked straight outta there.

I was quoted $113 each from Syntec a couple of years ago - needless to say mine are still gaffa taped together!!

A fairly quick fix to get you through is a Wireless Mic Clip or Butterfly Mic Clip which is larger and will accommodate the body of the 421 - with a little bit of electrical tape to hold it in place especially for drums etc. I've got an old MD419 which never came with a clip which this method works well for too.

I've used Sennheiser MD421 II Microphone for recording and live sound on acoustic guitars and vocals. It's really a nice setup at economic price.

I've found the best fix is the rode shock mount clips. hold the mic body really well. and cheap
